Each candidate for licensure as an MLO must complete
20 hours of Pre-Licensing Education. We're proud to partner with Mortgage Education to bring you online Pre-Licensing Course options for the National course and all 50 states!
In addition to 20 hour of Pre-Licensing Education, each state has other requirements that need to be met - background checks, credit checks, etc. These requirements can vary from state to state. Click below to find a
checklist of every thing that needs to be done for each state in which you're seeking licensure. Each checklist details the individual state's requirements and can help you keep organized as you're going through the licensing process.
You'll also need to create your
NMLS account! Creating your account will generate your
NMLS Unique Identifier - your NMLS Number. Make sure that once you have your NMLS number you write it down and commit it to memory as soon as possible! You're going to use it a lot!
